I'm a little on the lazy side when it comes to reloading 223 brass, but I have a guy that will clean, size, swaged and trim the brass for $50 per 1000 + the cost of shipment. When you get it back all you do is prime, drop power, seat bullet and head to the range. I just love it, here is his E-mail address: [email protected] Plus he also has brass for sale to.

There is an ad in shotgun news for a guy that sells once fired 223 brass which has been sized, swagged and polished for $80.00 per thousand.

He advertises in Shotgun News under reloading.
$80.00 for 1000 223/5.56 processed

From My short time experience with Brass Processing... only a small percentage need to be Trimmed..

I have loaded over 700rds in the last month and I have maybe 30 i have determined need trimming..

I just got a Lee Zip Tool and accoutrements to trim the few that need it..

Anyways just my .02$

From my experience every new Lake City round I've fired is long and needs trimming...and I still have 400 rounds of it to shoot.

But more than likely I'll order LC once fired brass when I need more even with the extra work it requires.

I havent had the problem as much with once fired LC brass but buy the 3rd go around I sure have to trim it.

I trim all my once fired brass back to spec and then get about 8 reloads before it is worn out. Throw it in the scrap brass bucket and buy more.

What I really need is a nice, attractive woman to do all of my case prep.
(I used the word attractive instead of beautiful in an attempt to be realistic.)
