Looked at a nice hardly used 22A with a bull barrel, fiber optic front sight and a 4 inch barrel.
Not looking for a tack driver, just a good reliable plinker.
Never owned or shot one before. Any thoughts?

And, perhaps an odd question, can this model be adapted for a silencer?

You might want to do search on this forum as the 22A has been discussed before. I own one and it seems to find its way to my range bag every week. The thing is very easy to shoot well. Mine has never misfired and it is very accurate. You can buy them at Bass Pro Shops for $219.00. I don't know about adapting it for a "can" though but, I personally think the 22A is the best value the rimfire world has to offer. A shootin buddy shot mine at the range a few weeks ago and bought one that day for himself.

I shot my 22A today and as always it was very accurate I don't know what they're asking for the used 22A but it's a good gun. Buy it!!! Maybe someone will help with the "can" question.

I picked up a 22A and a Bushnell Trophy red dot at BPS a few months ago and I love it! It is a great shooter. I went with the intention of getting a Beretta Neos, but the S&W felt much better in my hand. I haven't had a single problem out of the box...I'd recommend it in a heartbeat

Went out and bought this morning.
My son and i put over 700 rounds of assorted ammo, CCI, Wildcats, Thunderbolts and a tupperware container of a mix of the worst looking, oldest 22 ammo around.
Shot everything. Only problem was that the magazine, all 3, the thumb stud seemed to catch somewhere on the grips or well, and would not feed the second round.
When we seated it, then gave it a wack on the bottom, we heard it click and it would be okay. Stripped it down and cleaned it good. Might be the grips were a tad tight but won't know until the next session.
It's a keeper at 190.00.
Problem is, if this shoots this well, I'm starting to wonder what a 41 would be like!!
