I need info on a 22A. This is my first semi-auto. While the gun is in pristine condition, it came with no manuals or other papers. I got it from a friend who never shot it, but says she bought it "years ago". Here is the serial #UAU5XXX. When was it made? Also, how much does this pistol weigh? Any info would be appreciated. Anything else I should know about this gun? Please reply. All of my other guns are revolvers. Also who sells holsters and magazines for this gun?

You can download a pdf file of the manual here. The website has specific information on the weapon such as weight, even if yours is an older model you could always throw it on a scale. The website.

Your best bet is to call S&W 800-331-0852 and they can tell you the exact ship date by your serial number. They will most likely send you a owners manual N/C if you request one. Weight will vary acording to barrel length and type. Go to S&W website and look at the different models and it will give you most of the specs. The 22S/S series are not that old and there aren't many aftermarket parts available. You would want to stick with S&W mags anyway, from S&W, MidwayUSA, Brownells' and others.
