Just picked up an M&P FPC that comes with two 23 round mags.
Sounds like they're relatively new, just curious if anyone's had issues. Anyone know if the come with longer springs, or are they just 17s with an extended baseplate?
Many years ago I tried a +4 extension on a full size Beretta mag with the same spring and it was not reliable.

well my bad, I thought these 23s were just 17 rnd bodies with a +6 extension, but while I was securing the spacers with a dab of Loctite I noticed my 23s acually have full length steel bodies all the way down with witness holes for 23 rounds, just didn't notice til I moved the spacer.
$45 a mag isn't cheap but with std. 17s at $35-$40 a pop that's a fair price. And if you're running an FPC you need the spacer too, add $8 to $10 for that.

I'll also add that the only S&W auto loader I ever bought used was an EZ 380, had the early mags with the weak springs that stovepiped. S&W replaced all three of my mags with brand new ones free of charge.

The 23rd mags come with a small spacer that takes up the gap between the compact frame vs a full size frame that the mags fit with.

I only have a few hundred rounds through my 23 rd mags and I don't run them hard, but they work fine just like every other M&P mag I've had.
