There is currently a 24-3 4" with no box going for over $1200 on the GB auction site! I draw attention to this only to show how crazy some items can get!! Wish I had a few 4" 24s to sell!

Jerry, if a 4"er is worth $1200.
Your 3in.er is worth $900.

Don't shortchange yourself, buddy.

Either way, it seems our own dreaded 'N frameitis' has spread to the general population.
Now there's no telling what's going to happen next!

Let's just do our best to keep the 'right' pieces amongst ourselves, Hmmm?

Well, they made about a zillion truck loads of 29-2s with 4" barrels and the going rate seems to be $650-$850 predicated on condition and box etc.

They made fewer than 2600 or so of the 24-3s with 4 inch barrels. And 4800 or so with the 6 1/2 barrel. Surely the 24-3 with a 4" barrel is more scarce and valuable than a 4" 29-2?

Agreed, but how many 624 4"ers were made? Since the production run only lasted from 1985-1987 (per SC of S&Ws #2) one would think that they're weren't too many...obviously more than the 24-3 though. Does anyone have any production figures for the 624?

I love mine but $1,200 would give me pause! Here it is with faux ivory from eagle. I have the originals.

Al,

Thanks for the correction! I just get so excited when my guns double in value that my math goes right out the window.

Here's mine with real ivory.

..and my buddy Tom owns its sequentially numbered mate. I 'spose I should call and tell him we can retire.
