Went to a gun show this morning and came across a 25-2, 6 1/2" barrel, In presentation box, all tools and paper work. The gun has to be in 98%. If you look real close you can just see a hint of a cly. line. No blue loss.
S# 614xxx. He wants $850. Should I go back and get it or leave it there.
Thanks for any help
John

A year from now that $850 will seem like a bargain.

Model 25-2

I just bought a Model 25-2 a few weeks ago and would have gladly paid a lower price for it, without the display box, papers etc I will have to use the moon clips when I go to the range with it, which will be a new experience. Before I bought it I discovered that there was an oversize/mis-matched throat issue with some of the Model 25s. For a .45 ACP it should be about .451, which mine is. I'm not planning on selling it any time soon!

Your 25-2 will fire even without moon clips but you'll have to push the shells out with a pencil.Might be able to pluck them out with a finger nail.Good luck with it!You're going to love it!

I paid about that for an unfired one without the box and I'm happy with it. I shoot 45 auto rim out of it though as I don't like messing with the full moon clips.

Offer $600 and see what happens... You would be into it above top $ at asking price but if you are going to keep it and had been looking for a 25-2 for a while, then maybe...

Not an unreasonable price

$850 may be a little steep as a going in price, but like LTC says, next year you won't find any boxed N-frames for that price! Especially a 98% gun with all the goodies. I'm looking for the exact same revolver, and I would give it serious consideration here in Florida- and for sure make a counteroffer. I'll bet you can pick it up for $750. Good hunting!
