25-5 stocks

Need a little information. My 25-5 currently has finger grove combats on it. This revolver's serial # is N715xxx that makes it a 1980's mfg. The inside left stock has a date that looks like June 7 19?9. I don't think these are orginial to the 25-5. My question is what grips should be on this revolver? Thanks for any help you can give. Pictures maybe?

Target stocks made of Goncalo alves are correct for your 25-5 (see photo below).

I would have said:
If it has a service hammer and trigger, get a set of magna stocks.
If it has a Target hammer and trigger, get a set of Target stocks.

I also know enough to not disagree with the Doc.

This revolver has target hammer and trigger and it is pinned. Thanks for the help. Looked on e-bay this AM and the target N stocks as shown in the picture above are few and $$$$.

25-5's were considered part of S&W's "target gun" line, and only shipped with TT TH and TS.
I suppose someone could have ordered one configured differently, but it would be the exception.

Finger groove combat grips might not be correct for collecting, but might be great for shooting. I've put finger groove combat Ahrends grips on all three of my 25s. I seem to have better control for follow up shots.

25-7 walnut Ahrends replaced the Pachmayr grips
