25-5 which stocks ?

I have a 25-5 serial # N803xxx, my question is which target stocks are correct, football cut out or the later ones with speed loader relief ?

The 25-5 came with speed loader cut out stocks

The bottom gun is a 25-5, ser # N 821XXX wearing original stocks. When I got it there were only 3 charge holes fired in the cylinder, although all accoutrements were missing. Can't see that the owner would have reason switch grips on a "new" gun. Joe

Mine came with speed loader cut out stocks, so I guess it is possible both were available depending on inventory at the time of production.

Should be football cutout, no raised diamond.

I had an N679XXX 4" 25-5 purchased new and it came with football cutout target stocks.

My 25-5 N6768xx, a 1979-80 gun, had football grips.
My 57 N7465xx, a 1980 gun, had football grips
My 25-9 BFExxxx, a Sep 89 gun, had cutout grips

My S&W M25-5, 4" blue, # N697079, was bought new in Birmingham, Alabama in June 1980. It shipped in May 1980.

I roundbutted it and it now wears rubber Hogues.
