25 WCF?

Otis, I am pretty sure 25-20 ammo will work and is what you want. I have some laying around, too bad you dont live nearby.
 
Yes, there was at least one revolver made in 25WCF; I remember seeing an article about it years ago, I believe in the American Rifleman. It was a one off experimental, and was never manufactured commercially.
 
Otis it is good that it is a 25WCF as the 25-20 Single Shot ammo costs more than the .25WCF ammo.
If the rifle was a 25-20 Single Shot that is how the barrel would be marked.

The single shot cartridge was developed by F.J.Rabbeth and was first chambered in the Maynard single shot model of 1882. Union Metallic produced the first ammo in 1889.

The 25-20 is a 32-20 case necked down for .25 caliber bullets. It is .3 inch shorter than the 25-20 single shot.
