27-2 4” Nickel VG to EXC cond. value?

Wondering about the OTD Value, consensus here.
Prices are all over the place but just wondered what you thought?
The 4" Nickel and Blue are on my list.

Depends when it was made.
What's the serial number?

Until about 1978, 4" 27s were special order and hard to find. In the late '70s, the 3.5" and 5" were discontinued for the 4", which were mostly produced with a nickel finish. The late guns are much more common and have a lower value than the earlier, special order guns. $1200 to $1500

Just the gun by itself, I would agree with CH4. I bought one at the Tulsa gun show pre Covid 19, like new in the box for $1400. Later saw another at the same show priced at $2100. The only difference was the $2100 one had a red insert in the front sight, mine did not! It seems there are way more nickel than blue 27-2 4 inchers.
