Wondering how desirable this revolver is to the crowd here…or there? Looks pretty clean but have yet to inspect it. Not sure if cylinder was modified or changed. Guy is asking 700 for it. Really would prefer shorter barrel but that’s usually how it goes.

It's a nice looking conversion, with the tapered 1950 .45 Target barrel that matches the model 27 frame. The cylinder looks .357 length to me. If it checks out mechanically it would be tempting. Good luck in your decision.

As Murphydog mentioned, nice conversion with the Model 1950 barrel. Shorter barrel is an easy modification. A good gunsmith would be able to cut that barrel and either move the front sight or fit a new one. Actually a decent machinist could do that for you.

The cylinder, the image is not sharp enough, and from the wrong angle for me to tell you if it is the original cylinder or an ACP cylinder fit to the frame.

At that price, it would already be home with me.

I'd like to see a better picture, showing the checkering on the top strap, to prove it is a M27 (or see the stamping in the yoke cut). I see no checkering, and wouldn't expect to see it on the barrel rib if it's truly been swapped from the factory barrel. Configured like it is, and sans the top strap checkering, it looks like a Model 26. What is the SN?

Whether a 27 or 28, for $700 I’d already have it home, cleaned and dry firing while watching a Dirty Harry movie.

That is too bad. Any N frame 45 ACP revolver is a good one.
