27-2 Nickel Finish

I am trying to find out how many and what barrel lengths were available in the Model 27-2 357 with nickel finish, I am getting conflicting answers. I called Smith and Wesson and the person I got was not helpful. Thank you in advance.

That's pretty TALL order! Don't know if they have that type of specific detail and if they do it would be a real pain to sort it out given the number made before computers showed up to help.

Nickel was available in all barrel's lengths and made up about 10% of the guns.

I had a 5 and 2 6 inch 27'S.I have seen a lot of nickel over the years. Hard to believe it was only 10%

That question would be impossible for customer service to answer. Just buy what you can find.

3 1/2, 4, 5, 6, 6 1/2, and 8 3/8-inches. The Model 27-2 was shipped from 1962 to 1982. Revolvers finished in nickel usually made up approximately 10-12 percent of those produced, but the actual numbers have not been determined.
