Hello, I'm new to the Forum and from NC.
I just bought a like new model 27-2 and wanted to know the date of manufacture and any other useful information. the # is N4068**. It has an 8" barrel, wood case and all paperwork.

Like L-2 said, 1977-78. Made just a bit earlier in the year than my M27-2 (N447xxx). Yours would be an 8-3/8' barrel. let's see some pics of that bad boy, and the story behind finding it with all the goodies. I'm also in NC, where are you located?

I’m a car dealer and I bought an elderly ladies SUV from her son, he was moving her to his home in Illinois. Anyway he was telling me about some of her other possessions he needed to sale and this was one.

I’ll probably sell it, I’ve got 6 nice Smiths now that I don’t shoot. The car business is not very good right now or I’d probably keep it.
