That's not a great bargain, but sounds like a fair price, IMO. The new ones with locks and MIM sell for more than that. Go for it and enjoy!

I recently sold a very lightly used 27-3 six-inch locally for $725. No box and no tools. If it had been a four-inch I would have asked, and gotten, at least $25 more for it.

If I had your opportunity with this gun I would buy it myself. A four-inch Model 27 is something I have always wanted but never owned.

I bought one brand new in 1985 for $280.00 and according to an inflation calculator would cost $614 today.
