I don't normally look for pricing help, but this one has been tough to research. This gun is from a friend's collection. He passed away and I'm selling it for his wife.

On with it...This is a 27-7 PC gun, 6.5" barrel. It's from a series of 100 made, it's #97 (BNG0097), .357 Mag, 8 shot, blue. It appears un-fired, but does have a slight turn line on the cylinder. The grips appear original to me, with the silver S&W medalians, but someone eles has commented that they thought that the grips were from Nil. I do not a box or any papers with it.

Thanks for any help...

This revolver will sell in minutes in the for sale forum of this board.

Here is what the factory supplied grips look like.

In 2000 MSRP on these was $1000. Though no one ever buys stuff for MSRP. I think I paid $725 for mine.

Even without the box a clean used one should bring $750 or above. Complete, unfired, with all original items and box, I would think over $950 would not be a problem.

NICE gun and hard to find. SAA is right, if you have all the goods with it, I would ask a $1000 for it myself.

Thay ARE very nice. I have #96(I just checked). I bought mine 5 years ago a well used 95% with Perfomance Center case for $800. Your's I would put at $1100 now. It should sell fast.

Good luck.

Ray, I saw where you posted that you had #97 in another post. You had me wondering....

I'm not sure how to sell over the 'net. I've never done that. Do I have to take it to an FFL to do paper work and send it?

I missed them when new, was not collecting at the time. I now have two, bought first one (#42) on GunsAmerica for $1000 two years ago like new but no box or anything, just the gun. From a lead on this forum I bought my second one (#79) a couple months ago, NIB with all including the white shipper, $860.00. The first one is actually in nicer condition, lots of shop wear on the second "NIB". If yours falls between this range I'm a buyer.

Beautiful grips, modern reproduction of the old N frame "cokes" as used on the Model 29 in the 50s. Original examples selling for $300+ today. These of course for the round butt. Send me an e-mail if you'd still want to sell it. I can tell you how to do it legally.

Have not forgot about the lead on the 4 inch. Fellow is supposed to call me. Joe in GA

This will be for sale as soon as I settle some un-related things.

I have no idea what these grips are, if they aren't original. My friend was a big fan of Nill grips. Another set of Nill's showed up after he passed away. Someone who saw this revolver, thought they were Nills.

They are Nill grips they will add approx. $150-$200. They are not original.

I just looked on the Nill site the grips are called "OEM CLASSIC SELECT". They list new for $245.05

Hope this helps.
