LGS has a 28-2 s/n 224525. It is in good shape, p&r, 6", lock up is good with little blue loss. Asking $600.00. Can anyone provide shipping date. Price is a little high, what do you think?

Depends. A Model 28-2 could have that number with either an S or an N prefix, and you didn't say which. If it is an S, it shipped in 1962 or 1963. If the prefix is an N, it could have shipped anytime after about 1974.
I'd say $600 is a little bit high for an S prefix, and about $100 too high for an N prefix. The 4" version would sell for a little bit more in both cases, but even so, I think 6 bills is too expensive (unless you live in Kalifornia).

Jack, I'm sorry, left the "S" out of the serial # and I do live in the state of Ca.
Okay, '62-'63. Those are much harder to come by than the later examples. The one I have is staying in the family forever, I hope.
Given where you live and the fact that it has the S prefix, if the condition is high, I don't think $600 is out of line. Go get it, if you can.
