Given the current environment, where guns are largely unavailable at any price, yes, I would say $800 is a decent price. Might you be able to get it for less at some point in the future? Who knows!

What’s the condition? Again it’s condition vs price. What percentage of bluing % ? Has it been holstered? Wear at the muzzle? The $800 price tag gives us an idea where to start offer wise. Haggle the price start low. I’d start at $695. Check for a canted barrel, flame cutting, orginal grips, cylinder end shake? Does it look to be shot much or not? How’s the throat look?

Any s&w N frame that’s $1,000 and under is a buy.

The M29-10 is suppose to be the best m29 ever manufactured with all 10 upgrades.

I have 2 29-10's , a 4" and 6" and they are worth every penny I paid for them . I would , from what you have described just " buy it " . Regards Paul

If it's in good condition and truly like new, $800 would be a steal. NIB 4" 29-10s go for low to mid $900s, and 6-1/2" 29-10s are north of $1000.

In these days of panic and unrest, $800 is not at all out of line, especially if it is in excellent mechanical condition and excellent finish.

If it’s in good condition I’m surprised you found one at $800...especially if it’s a 4”.

If its brand new that's a heck of a deal. I paid for mine 6 1/2'' brand new $1100 plus taxes. 4'' variants are harder to find and also command prices north of $1000

I just paid 1000 OTD for 29-2 4” ported and blasted so 800 is a great deal I’d say I paid $500 for 629-2 classic hunter way back in 2010 approximately so I’d be all over $800.

Thanks all for the comments!
the gun has supposedly 20 rounds through it, only very faint ring on chamber from the stop. I’m going to see if I can get it.
Thanks again
