All,

I'm looking at a blue 29-2 4 inch with presentation case. The seller describes it as near perfect and never fired. What's the market price for such a gun? Also, what would a decent price on a 90% 29-2 4 inch with no box be? Thanks.

For the first in the condition you described- $700-$800 depending on where you live, and this economy.

For the second I'd say between $450 -$550. 90 %, is pretty well worn on the outside.

I'd say a bargain at $700 and more than likely around $850 and maybe $900 if you want it real bad. At 90%, no more than $400.

One mans 90% is usually something else to somoeone else and to me that means a gun with a lot of wear on the outside and I probably wouldn't go more the $600 on it.

Thanks for the info. I don't have a line on one at 90%, I was just trying to bracket the range of values in case one popped up at a local show. I suppose 90% would be pretty rough! I hesitate to pay a NIB premium because I am going to be shooting and carrying the gun, but they are kind of scarce locally. Thanks for all the info again.

O.K., what about a nickel 29-2 4" with box ANIB? Is that about the same, more, or less than the 29-2 blued in the same condition. Thanks!

Bought a 29-2 nickel 4" Friday 98%+ w/ box , unused tools, all the orginal papers $885-1975 gun; there was a little lead in the barrel which I got out today.

If it's truly anib, I'd say about $900 - $950, and $1000 (+) for a nickel 4 incher (very cool gun BTW...). Again, these prices are for a true anib condition gun/goodies... Of course, there are guys that can come up with them for less, but those situations are few and far between; but they are out there. The prices I mention is what I've seen in the real world if you want to buy a nice one.

As for the 90%, I agree with Art, probably around $600; but tough to say without seeing it...

Just my two cents, good luck!
