Had this one out of the safe and decided to snap a few quick cell phone pics. We cannot have too many model 29 pictures, now can we?

Here's the story. I had a 4" 29-2 about 25 years ago. It was as nice as this one, but like a fool I traded it for another gun and immediately regretted it. I went around to several LGS and left my business card asking for a call if they get a 4" blue 29-2. Surprisingly, about two years later a shop called about this one. I picked it up for around $750 IIRC close to 20 years ago. Has the presentation case and tools, no outer/shipping box tho.

That's a very nice blued 4" Model 29-2! I'm glad that you were finally able to add one back into your collection. I found mine at a local gun show about 15 years ago. It was wearing Pachys and had a few freckles, but for $450 I couldn't pass it up. I have a nice set of GA target stocks for it, but usually use the Pachys whenever it goes to the range. Mine is a little younger than yours, s/n N464411 ca. 1977. I also have a mahogany presentation case for it, but it's not original to my revolver. Enjoy!

I also have a 6-1/2" that I bought shortly after joining this forum in 2009, N3137XX. Had two others previously. My first one I purchased in 1977. Traded that one when I got into 1911's. The other I got in 1986 and gave my son that one as a police academy graduation gift 15 years ago.

The 6.5 “Dirty Harry” is what got me sucked in.
“ Wouldn’t mind a 19, too. Better get 22LR.” Then I discovered the 27.. And the 25.. And the 629 and the 66..
Crazy addictive. I had no idea what I was in for.
