Seemed like a pretty decent deal.

Just a moment...

Not exactly collector stuff but pretty decent shape.
I guess I'll find out when I get it.
It completes my 29-2/629 ND collection.
I have too many cases taking up space already!

Now I can move on and sleep at night.

Model29-26.5, that should work just fine. I don't have an 8 3/8ths inch barreled gun in my collection. One day, I might have to remedy that situation.

BTW, if those bulky mahogany cases are getting in your way too often, I'll be more than happy to take them off your hands!:D I'm a nice guy that way! I mean I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that you were tripped up by those pesky cases.:p

That one is just like my first firearm purchase. It got sold long ago and have been trying to find a replacement forever.

I missed that one, otherwise the ending price would have been higher.

Congratulations on the purchase, it looks to be in great shape!

I like those cases, but they do take up room.
I'm going to attempt to make a presentation box myself for an 8" 6.5" and 4". Little craft project

I think you got a pretty good deal on that nickel Model 29-2, and it should nicely compliment your growing collection. Years ago a friend asked me if I wanted to buy his nickel Model 29-2 with 8-3/8" bbl. At the time I was not a fan of nickel revolvers or revolvers with barrels longer than 6-1/2". I did clean it up for him (gentle polishing with Flitz, a Kleenbore Lead Away cloth, and Ren Wax) and helped him arrange a consignment sale at a local gun shop. He got $600 after fees and was happy to get it. I probably let a good one get away, but I'm still not a long tube fan. However, I am getting to appreciate nickel and now have half a dozen revolvers. Congratulations, and enjoy!
