A friend has offered me a 29-3 6" blue with a non fluted cylinder for around $600. It had rubber stocks and, I believe, the original Smith stocks. Can anyone tell me anything about the number of these non fluted guns that were made, the period of manufacture and the value of such a revolver in 95-98% condition?
Thanks,

Its not a 29-2, but still very nice. There is a big difference between 95% and 98%. At 98% I would say $650-700. I believe they started the 29-3 in 1982-83 time frame.

*I don't undeerstand what the big deal is in the flutes.I always thought they were mostly apperance. Am I off base?
