29-6 value?

Just curious about the value of a 8-3/8" barrel 29-6 classic DX.

I haven't had the opportunity to handle it yet, but assuming it is mechanically sound, would $850 be a fair price?
 
That's a good price, provided it's in decent shape. The DX was a premium version of the Classic. Guns that showed high accuracy in test firing were given that designation (a target shipped with the gun originally). If it's complete, I believe it had a type of front sight with a quick-change blade. There should be five blades, plus the one on the gun IINM. I also believe it came with the wood Combat Stocks. The ones that sell for $200+ these days all on their own. Some of the DX's made prior to the -5 had the Hogue rubber grips.

Well, it's mine now. Just need to wait til Tuesday to bring it home.
