29 No Dash Trigger

Greetings all,
Just picked up this old 29. 8 3/8, great condition, s/n 217xxx.
Has the obvious turn line, but otherwise very clean. The trigger is delightful, extremely smooth with a nice let off - making me think perhaps it's been worked on. I don't see any marks to indicate it's been to S&W. This is one of the oldest N frames I have, were the older triggers known to be like this? I hope to get it to the range next week, see if it shoots as well as I think it will.

Smith and Wesson trigger pulls have been excellent
on SA for years,nothing unusual,I cannot attest to newer
Revolvers because I have no experience with them. Pete

It has been my experience that S&W triggers have always been very good. It also seems like the older the gun the better the trigger. Some of the sweetest S&W triggers I have felt were on old pre war long action guns, just smooth like butta. Not that there is anything wrong with the more modern triggers, it just may be those old ones are "broken in".

Take the grips off and make sure the main spring screw hasn't been backed off.
