Mine has 'enjoyed' the Speer #4427 200gr Gold Dot, whether in the CCI Blazer Al cases or Georgia Arms brass cased variant. The latter is cheaper, these days, if you by a few bags of fifty, as then the s/h will be less than s/t from a local 'Academy', etc. They both leave the tube at the same velocity (800-805 fps) - the GA Arms are preferred here because they leave a nice once-shot Starline .44 Special brass case, too. Robert Mikas makes an excellent pocket holster for the 296 - mine fits ~ 75% of my britches front pockets. Leave the OEM boots on for CC in that pocket holster. The Uncle Mikes Combats, rounded or squared, insulate that backstrap hump making the recoil even more manageable. Congratulations - great buy!
