3.5" 27-5

Well, it certainly seems like 3.5" 27's are all the rage right now. Like everyone else, I had been on the hunt for one. A dealer buddy finally got one in. It may not be a pinned and recessed 5 screw, but it scratches the itch.

Anybody know much about these? I read that they may have only made 750 of them.

I don’t know the answer, but that is an incredibly good looking gun. WOW

Edit- so I had to check this out in my 5th edition SCSW. Page 276 indicates a reintroduction of the 3.5” and 5” barrels in 1991. Product code for the 3.5” was 100998. Production run of 1500 but it doesn’t specify the breakdown of 3.5” to 5”.

I am happy to have it. Took a couple months to find the right 3.5" 27 at the right price.

Thanks for finding that. I looked in the 5th edition but must have missed that part. I suppose if they made an even amount of 5" and 3.5", then maybe 750 is accurate.
