3" 624 Value

I'm sure some of you have seen my listing in the classifieds offering to trade my Lew Horton 3" Model 624 I was hoping to trade it for something on my wish list, but it doesn't seem like that is going to happen.

So I guess I'll end up selling it. Naturally I want to get as much as I can. But at the same time, I don't want to over price it so that it won't sell or cheat anybody. Nor do I claim any expertise in pricing a used gun as I very rarely sell one.

There are two gun shows coming up this month. I figure I'll try my luck there. There's the lure of a quick sale and cash in hand. Not to mention that I may well trade it for something I want.
If that fails, it will show up here for sale in the classifieds. Probably in early August.

The gun is in excellent condition, but I do not have the box or correct stocks. "ALW" serial number puts it past the recall.

So what say you forum experts? How much is it actually worth?

6 months ago I sold a 3" 624 with combats and original holster but no box for $750.00 .

I agree with rbmac52, about $750-$800 as you described.

I just sold an excellent condition 624-3 just like yours with original combats, box, papers, etc. for $975 shipped and would have had to been much more patient if I wanted to get more.

take off the combats, which would sell for $150-$200, plus value to the box and papers, and you are there.

good luck Grayfox with the sale or trade. You've got a beautiful revolver that would make someone a great N frame carry or range gun.

I bought one similar a few weeks ago from LGS . Was asking $999. I paid $875. It had factory wood combats.
The wood combat grips were probably worth $100.

I just sold 2 in the last 2 weeks. Identical to your gun. No Combats. 700 and 750. No Box. No Box, Docs, and Combats immediately take 300-400 off the top.

I sold both to fund a 624 in the box with Combats and a little extra to throw at something else.

I think you will find that you would have to pay $300 or more for the original stocks, if you can find a pair.

Thanks for the input. I was hoping for a little more, but I also knew the goodyears were gonna hurt it.
I'll see what happens at the gun shows.
I dunno, maybe I'll just let it sit in the safe for a few years.
