Saw this on Facebook on a Colt Page. Has anyone seen/heard about this? It would be awesome!

Maybe because its a 357 magnum, it might do well. The 2" Cobra seems to have really lost its charm in the market place. For a gun that was going for twice the MSRP at one time, the value has really taken a hit. I've seen several new ones in the $500.

It's hard to tell much from either photo. Is it based on the equivalent of a Colt "D" frame like the Magnum Carry, or is it based on the modern equivalent of the "AA" frame like the King Cobra? And if it's the latter, is it available with a 7-round cylinder? My guess is that it's a beefed up version of the Cobra as implied. That top strap is thickened almost to the point of being ungainly in appearance. And where is the graceful rearward taper to the underlug like the above mentioned guns? They're going for a Python vibe perhaps? Interesting...

Que the colt fanboy tears and cries of disbelief.

Remember when the new detectives came out and all the same colt fanboys said "no way colt will ever make another snake gun" Just because you already spent 2k-4K on the one you own, doesn't mean colt doesn't want to climb out of banctrupcy for the umpteenth time.

Looks good to me - I like my Cobra. I wanted a Detective Spec but decent ones are outa sight price-wise. With a beefed up frame and 4-inch barrel - I can't see a downside to it. There's always going to be someone looking down their nose at the new Colt and criticizing ... that's human nature. :(. I'm cheating here with Altamont's photo but this is exactly how mine looks - couldn't be happier!

Well I see that Colt has indeed provided (via Shot Show 2019) the very revolver that S&W fans have been pining for. A 3” K/L frame .357 Mag....[see Mod 65] with fixed sights. Like its predecessor .38 Cobras this King Cobra has the end user removable front sight. I say good for them!

If it is intriduced at SHOT, I have no doubts that it will be extremely overpriced.

$800.... Should be priced around the same price as a Smith... Pricey but still priced competitively... I wanted a 627 or a 66, but I'll be getting this one instead. Reward Colt for listening to what their customers want.

Its good to see Colt expand their line. A no-lock, stainless, 6-shot, 3”, made in the USA .357 Magnum should find a nice market. I hope they keep them coming.

Greensboro Show

While at the Greensboro, NC show yesterday I saw a 3" Colt Python marked as "rare" on a dealers table.

No Photos but I'm sure if you get to the show today you can buy it for the asking price of $11,500:eek::eek:

The MSRP on the new Colt King Cobra is $899... There are multiple guys on Gunbroker selling it for $1000-$1200... I guess some impatient fools with a lot of money will buy at that price, but I'll wait...

I will wait too. If MSRP is $899, should get for around $725-$750
