I currently have a 686 in 8 3/8 and I would like to put a full lug 3 incher on it. I had looked for these for a while but with lo luck, I now see that S&W is producing a 686+ in a 3 inch configuration. has anyone tried ordering a 3 inch barrel from smith? I have looked on their web page but do not see anywhere you can order parts....is this new barrel going to work ok with a 686 no dash?
