3” Model 19-3 Rarity

I did not communicate that very well. It does have a SN (K500000) stamped on the grip frame, just no model number stamped in the yoke area of the frame - kind of like a pre model numbered gun.

I sure do hope that the OP purchased that nickel 3" er. I am looking forward to learning more about it.

Well, that serial number would be hard to remember. Don't know how you do it!

FWIW, a butt load of plastic fantastics don't have model numbers on the gun. Thankfully, most have a model number or sku on the box, which, with a new gun, is not an issue. I'm in MD, and that makes a difference on a "modern" handgun.

ETA: I have a 2 1/2" M19 without the model number under the crane. Or serial number.

I am not well read on this--so take it with a grain of salt--but FACTORY nickel in 3"...I would expect north of $2.5K; provided excellent shape, box and goodies....

According to the information I received on the model 19-2 3" I acquired , it states this revolver was shipped on March or April of 1965. Does that mean these could be the original diamond grips?

Orders to delete the diamond on all stocks except NT and KT were issued in October 1965 and January 1966. This revolver was shipped in July 1966 with non-diamond stocks.

They are original if that is your 19's serial number
