Would like some info.

I have a nickle 30-1 that has never been shot, no box or papers.

I would like to find out the age, I know at least 30 years old. My dad sold it to my grandfather along time ago, and its was in his safe for about 30 yeras or so in a Crown Royal bag. I noticed it one day and laid claim to it and he gave it to me a while later.

It has some pitting, not much.

#823857. So I'd kinda like to know what is worth and would like to know about some new grips.I've been itching to shoot it, since its never been shot and no box etc,is it worth more if its not shot? I don't plan on selling it will give it to my son when he's older.

So I'm just basically looking for some one to tell me its ok to shoot it, or not.

Thanks,
Eric

If someone can tell me how to post a pic I will.

Thanks,

The pitting's not that bad I'd say the gun is a 7 or 8 out of 10.

Those Crown Royal bags are great for whisky, but not so great for guns as the fabric holds moisture. Drink the whisky, put your spare change in the bag, and keep your guns in a low humidity environment and lightly coated with a good rust inhibiting product.
