I’m wanting to mount a micro sight to my Shield plus. I have taken the cover off prior.

What is the thread size for mounting am RMSC or what is the thread size for the mounting directly to the slide?

The thread pitch in the slide is 6-32. Most optics will come with at least one set of bolts for that thread pitch. Optimal bolt length will be dependent upon the optic. If you use a Holosun and need to use different bolts than what they came with, be warned that Holosun combines that Imperial 6-32 thread pitch with a metric 90° countersink. You need to find them from specialty suppliers, not just the McMaster-Carr catalog, much to my annoyance.

The screws may feel a bit tight the first time they go in there. Some suspect that S&W runs their tooling a bit longer than they should.
