I sent an AR upper off to have the barrel swapped to a 16" .300 Blackout barrel with a carbine length gas system. This will be used for deer/hogs/coyotes. It will not be used for anything else. I would appreciate suggestions for factory ammo with up to 150 grain bullets for these critters.

If you can find a bullet weight that will give you at least........

1,100 ft/lbs energy at 100 yards, I would use it for deer.

Good hunting.

So the many deer I've killed beyond 100 yards with a .44 Magnum were just playing dead? I'll be darned...;-)

...makes a 150 grain deer round. I haven't tried it, but it sounds like a winner.

Finding it may be a problem. I swannee I'd make my own. But if you can find it, great.

I have had three recommendations for this ammo but it seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth.

I was talking about what a rifle should have.

We all know a 44 Magnum only gets 1100 at 50 yards if you have a 8" barrel.......
or a 20" barrel at 1750fps will get 1020 ft/lbs at 100 yards....

but I can reach out 200 yards with the same energy with my 22-250 rifle and kill deer.........
and they play dead, also.
