Not acquainted with the .32 cartridge or the model. Do you fellows consider a
nice example to be worth $695? Thanks.

Haven't seen it. Described as "pristine", so I it should be a 99%er.
...I guess any clean Smith revolver is a $695 gun these days.

Well "pristene" is different than "nice".
May be 99%, maybe not, if so then the price is fair.

Oh no, "clean" Smiths can often be found less than that. The .32s have been "re-discovered" and are surging for several years now.

Honestly I paid about $600 for my 3 inch 30-1 from 1969. I thought it was a little high at the time but I wanted a 32 and I’m glad I paid it.

I don’t have that total in my 30-1 and two 31-1 revolvers. None of mine were NIB, or even had a box. They have gone up in price in my area since I got a snubbie 31-2 from a forum member five or six years ago. .32’s are addictive and will lead to more.

99% with box and papers go for that on GB. Insane prices are also due to bidding gamesmanship by inexperienced newbies and some of the guns are nothing but shooters but they don't know the difference.

There is also an opportunity cost issue. Some fairly rare guns you see seem a bit over priced. But when you walk away, you may not see another example come up for sale for several years and by then the price may be higher than the one you passed up earlier.

I'd say if you want it, and have the money then buy it.
