There's a good 2-page write-up by Walter E. Hill Jr. on the .310 in the 5th anniversary compendium of Handloader's Digest. The first page is a quick history of the rifle, various conversions, and adapting brass, but the second page is on bullet selection and loads. Here you go:

The .310 bullet diameter is .323, same as the 8x57 Mauser. You can form .30-30 cases into .32 WS. I know that rim thickness can be a problem, does your chamber have a rim recess? Were it mine, I would use lead bullets and light loads.
Per the article and my limited experience with the .310, you really do want to slug the bore and buy bullets accordingly because there's more than a little variance.
