Anyone load 32-20 using a 100 grain bullet over Trail Boss? I found two loads on Hogdon's site using Li'l Gun and Tite Group. I have Li'l Gun but would like to use Trail Boss. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance...
Did some looking on the dark side, Brand C Forum, and found data for the 32-20 using IMR Trail Boss, not Hodgon (senior moment).

Trail Boss is an excellent smokeless for the old BP pistol cartridges (originally rifle carts.). Used it for 44-40 last week, 38-40 last night, 32-20 next week with my cast 115 gr. Lyman bullet.

When Trail Boss first came out, they gave instructions to develop your own load data. It boils down to leave a 1/8" to 1/16" gap under the seated bullet. Also NEVER EVER compress Trail Boss.

Hodgdon publishes a yearly magazine with all the new powders. Under 32-20 with a 5.5 inch barrel, they list data for a 90 grain RNFP cast of 2.5 (785 fps)-2.8 (830 fps) and 115 RNFP cast of 2.2 (642) - 2.5 (707) but for 100 gr you need to develop your own.

I developed my own for the old Lyman/Ideal #3118 and shoot it in my 1919 made Colt Police Positive special and my 1902 S&W M&P. For stronger actions and rifles I like WW 231 and Unique loads.
