Just reflecting back on pistols I have owned in the past. Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a S&W 32-20 caliber Spanish made pistol and if so what Co. made them?. That was the first pistol I ever bought, it was from a lock smith and I was so young I really didn't know much about guns period much less pistols and I soon found out it was wore out. Cylinder would not line up with the barrel correctly and only fired when it wanted to. Anyone ever heard of one of these animals?

I don't know who made them other than they were made in Spain. One of my first pistols was one I bought for $5.00. The hammer was broken in two pieces. I took it to the local shade-tree mechanic and he welded the hammer together and smoothed it up. I got it back in the gun, found some .38 cal rounds in my Grandad's old trunk and shot a couple of cylinder fulls. My Mother finally realized I was not to be disuaded from hand guns and took me to a sporting goods store in the city where the owner took pity on me and took it in trade for $5.00 towards a decent .22RF revolver. Seems like I had more fun when I was young and stupid.........now I'm just old and stupid and don't have that kind of fun any more. Keep shootin'

I think that Orbea Bros. made some, and there was a myriad of other Spanish off-brands that copied S&W then.

I've shot one marked Eibar.

Some look like Colts and others look like Smiths.

Eibar was the biggest maker, and many other copies were made, as Texas said. Most were very cheap and poorly made.

You might compare them to the myriad of single barrel shotguns produced in US during the same period.
