I have a S&W **.32 ACP** Model 1913 (or whatever model # it is also known by) (I also own 2 original model 1913s in 35S&W), but I am befuddled by how to disassemble the .32, and can't find instructions anywhere. Can anyone point me to disassembly instructions for this rare 32 acp follow-on version of the original (but very different) Model 1913 (.35 S&W caliber)? Thanks!

S&W 1913 .32 ACP disassembly

From what I can recall, remove the screw on the grips and slide the grip from top to bottom. They are very fragile and I would remove them before you attempt to disassemble the gun. Now, underneath the trigger guard on the right side, is a latch and you will need to pull the trigger guard inward to the right and push down on the trigger guard. That will free the entire slide assembly, on one piece and flip the slide up and to the right. That will expose the entire upper portion of the gun. As far as the rest of the disassembly, I would invest in the book by David R Chicoine Antique Firearms Assembly/Disassembly as an investment for old smiths and other firearms for complete D/A firearms. Amazon has them on sale from used to new and an invaluable reference for future old smiths if you require the full disassembly and assembly.
