Do I have a pre-war or post-war .32 Hand Ejector? It's a double action built on the round butt I frame with 5 screws, half moon front sight, serrated trigger, thumbpiece is not a flat latch, barrel is marked "32 LONG CTG" on right side of barrel. Serial number is 568XXX. According to my SCSW, that SN makes it a post-war gun.
But, I looked in my trusty SCSW and on page 127 there's a picture of four different .32 Hand Ejectors. The second one from the top is identified as a pre-war gun and looks exactly like mine.
I'm guessing that, if SCSW is correct, then maybe I have an early post-war gun assembled using a pre-war frame and barrel. From its appearance, I'd say it was a pre-war gun, other than the serial number and maybe the serrated trigger. Anybody have any opinions on this gun? Thanks in advance.
