.32 Lemon Squeezer

.....aaaaannnndd another Lemon Squeezer thread.

I've recently acquired this one. It is a nice one. It functions flawlessly.

I wonder if someone might give me any 'extra' info on it.

It is a Top Break, Hammerless Safety in .32 S&W. It has a 3-inch barrel. The Serial number is 3620X (sorry, not in the 47K range). Any idea on a year of manufacture? The sights are fixed and it does have a Strain Screw.

The color case on the trigger is quite stunning.

Even intact stocks--are those original? Nice one.

They appear to be original. They have a nice even, smooth wear to them.

There is a chip out of the bottom of the left panel. It looks like someone at one time tried to pull it off from the top and the torque on the pin snapped a chunk out of the bottom.

Very nice 32 Safety, 1st Model revolver. I cannot understand why the stocks are so worn, when the rest of the gun looks great, including what looks like original nickel plating. Almost think that the stocks were swapped out for some reason, but should have the serial number stamped on the inside of the right stock.

91,417 1st Models were made from 1888 to 1902. In all, almost a quarter million of the 32 Safety revolvers were made.
