A few months ago I bought a Model 631 Lady Smith with the idea of giving it to my daughter. Of course, being a good Dad I had to make sure it functioned properly (heh heh), so I grabbed a supply of ammo and headed to the range. Long story short, it was the most fun I've ever had with a J frame, so when I ran across a Model 632 I picked it up also. Then I started to wonder how a K 32 would shoot, so I added a Model 16. Finally, a Model 631 kit gun joined the group...

The .32 longs are just a blast to shoot, and the same with the .32 mags. Anyone else like these guns as much as I do?

Yeah, I am a .32 fancier myself. I currently have a 6" Model 16-4, a 631 Kit Gun, and model 30 snub nose, and a Ruger SP101 with 4" barrel.

They all shoot well.

I grabbed a NIB 6" 16-4 at a gunshow about a month ago, I'd been looking for one at a somewhat reasonable price for a while. Its winter and cold here in Maine though, so I haven't tried it out yet. I did find a box of ammo last weekend so I'm ready to go, but I'm just a fair weather shooter so its apt to be spring before it goes to the range!

32 mag

i have a 631 s&w 4inch and two ruger single actions in this caliber, i have always loved the cartridge and gun. i load for mine and cast my own bullets.

I have a 432 and a 332 and they are the most enjoyable revolvers to shoot. My range buddy is always trying to buy my 432, and insists that if I ever decide to sell it, he gets first refusal. Another friend bought my 332 and I ended up trading for it back (Colt Dective Special), and he's made me swear that if I decide to sell it again that he gets first refusal. So I think there's no doubt that the caliber and guns for 32 mag are very popular. I don't understand why there are not more available choices out there.:D

My idea of the ideal "woods loafing" handgun is the stainless adjustable sighted version of the .32 mag with 3 or 4" barrel. I think they only made a relatively limited run of them in that configuration and called them 632s(?) I'm even thinking of trying to gather up enough orphan parts to modify and build my own. ;)

I don't have a Smith but I picked up a Ruger Single Six this summer in 32 mag. It has become one of my favorite handguns and my woods walking pistol. It is very fun to shoot, accurate and packs very well. When I can find a good bullet mold I intend to start casting for it.

I too like the 32 magnum a lot. Today happened to check a local gun shop and he had Federal 85 grain 32 H&R Magnum in stock! Had not seen any for a while. My lucky day! Can't wait to get to the range. I would love a J frame 631 kit gun but they are very rare in these parts. K frame 16's are nice too and a couple are usually available via online stores.

My 32's are Rugers, a Single Six Birds Head 4 5/8 and an SP101. Nice shooters.

I have a 432 and a new 632-1 (327 Magnum) and they are both great pistols. The 432 is very accurate and like Oldman said, I too have a friend who has asked to buy it on many occasions.

I love the 32 H&R. The 327 isn't bad either.

I have written previously about my 32 habit, I call them triplets

and the 331 that I bought but let my daughter and son in law "borrow"

Also, 32's are not exclusive to S&W revolvers

I bought a new 6" M16 back in the late 80's - early 90's and regret selling it. Trying to build up my 32 collection again. Currently have a S&W 4 screw 3" Pre M30 & a Ruger single six in 32 Mag.

Been eyeballing a Colt Det Spl in 32 at my local fun shop.

Really want another M16 again, this time I'd like the 4".

I don't own any .32's but would not mind it.

It's always baffled me that with such high prices for these ...... that the Manufacturers don't produce more ...... or are exporting them overseas!

A good caliber that's too overlooked!

Always wanted to get one of the .32 with a rim. However, I've always had some semi rimmed .32/7.65mm autos around.

I have a bunch of .32 Long revolvers and like them a lot. No Magnums, though. I pretty much stay in the world of five-screw guns -- sporting adjustable sights if I can get them. The holdings at the moment consist of an early Model of 1903 Target, two more Regulation Police targets, a straight .32 HE that I bought as a project gun but which turned out to be too nice to sacrifice, and a couple of early postwar K-32s. There may be a 16-4 in my future, but I've got to finish paying for all the others first.
.32 is an under-appreciated caliber, good for plinking, amusement and pest elimination at the low end as well as self-defense in its most powerful longer-case incarnations.

I find myself working into the earlier 32's. Like DCWilson said the versatility of the the caliber is wonderful. I have owned firearms for 40 years, I bought my first .357 last year and still have not shot it. (Being in Iraq and Afghanistan has not helped either).
