Fellow gunowners,
Finally got to fire my .32 hammerless safety. Shoots nice!!! Pretty good groups and no major problems. The only glitch was during ejection of the empty casings. The ejector star pushed past the base of the shells, so I had to remove the cylinder to get the casings out. It didn't happen every time (I fired 40 rnds), and I think it may be just a matter of getting used to the action. Love the gun, and I may use it for concealed carry. It has a low serial number, but I don't think it's so valuable that I shouldn't use it.

Ya know... never mind, do what you want.

don't believe that a gun of that vintage would be my first choice, but, to each his own. a round butt, 2" 38 special built with modern steel {or alloy} would be more along the lines of a reliable revolver for me

Nick,

I've got a few of these and I've never had that problem. The only way I can see that happening is if you were shooting .32 ACP ammo in it. While this is physically possible, it is very dangerous. These are chambered for .32 S&W (short, not long). Are you sure you were chambering the right ammo?

Muley Gil beat me to the punch.
Forget what the advertising pictures of the day show. Hold the barrel horizontal, pull up on the release, and pull the frame down. I have seen the same issue on .38 Webleys and Enfields, too.

cgt4570,
I used the right ammo.
pistol toter,
Go ahead and say it!!
azmick,
I usually carry a semi-auto, but I may be rethinking that. A titanium .38 special would be nice, but it's not in the budget right now ;~).

Thanks to all,
Nick
