Welcome aboard the forum, paxton! Thanks for taking the time - it's interesting to see what they're saying these days. You know, I never have loaded for .32 S&W Short, only Long and the H&R "Magnum" - now you've got me wondering whether I should "give it a shot," as it were. ;)

i luckd out the other day an pickd up a iver & jhonson cycle works later model .....not black powder, for $100 ! got a box of magtech 85gr 680fps to try an she shoots great. got a lee die set new for $40 at natches shooting online as well as a box of 71gr coper coated rn ( berrys 250 pcs) for less than $20......loading them with hp38 at the 1.4gr from the chart for 85gr to start......then work my way up. cant find load for the 71gr, found on a post for 77gr of 1.5gr bullseye,so i think the load for the heaver bulet would be a good start point for the 71gr jacked. gonna crono it an see, just looking for around the 600fps or so......not the max 800fps it says you can load.

forgot to say....its a break top 32.....last gen for modern powder, not the 1800's black powder. i dont think it was shot much, everything is nice an snug,no slop, crisp triger.ect.

ok....ended up with 2.3gr hp38 with berrys 71gr coper jacked round nose for the 32 short. got avg of 500 fps and feels prety close shoting wise to the magtech 85gr lead round nose as far as recoil and "pop"...... least my cheep amazon crono says. popd off 5 rounds from 15ft away one handed an all 5 were in a 4" target, so good enough for now. seems plenty for the iver an jhonson cycleworks 32 breaktop revolver made in 1900.....its a hammerless, so triger is long an very stout...makes it hard to be super accurate with such a small pistol, but im happy with it.
