I have a .32 S&W that has a hard trigger when the action is closed and fairly easy when the action is open. The cylinder/barrel gap seems to be dragging as the cylinder rotates, but there are no drag lines on the cylinder. The action is very tight, no looseness anywhere. I believe this has never been shot as the chambers and bore are pristine, not what you would expect in an antique BP gun. It is an ugly gun because of the finish, not from use. Internals look new. I have never shot it because of the hard trigger. It has been fully soaked in my cleaning solution for several weeks. I have included some photos, perhaps you will see something I missed. How do I smooth up the action when it is in battery?
