I am looking at a 325 NG. Appears to be in good condition (used, but well taken care of, say 90%), but has been modified for DAO. The modifications include bobbed hammer and removal of the single action sear. The owner modified it himself and has been very upfront about the modifications he made. I have bought a gun from the seller before and had no issues.

What would it cost to send it to S&W to replace the modified parts? I am trying to get a feel for what I will need to spend to get it back to stock and factor that into my offer.

Also, any idea what these are worth in used, but good condition?

Illini99 ... Welcome to the Forum. The Night Guard revolvers are very nice and you'll find lots of threads concerning both it, the variations in other calibers, as well as the 325 AirLitePD. Regarding your question, the only way to know for sure is to give Smith a call, describe what you have and the work you'd like them to do for you, and ask them for a ballpark figure on the work. What is the seller asking? Again welcome to the Forum and Night Guards are great revolvers. Please let us know what you decide to do.
