Thinking of using my 2.75" 325 PD for IDPA BUG division. As far as I can see it meets all the physical criteria. I would have to use .45 Auto Rim and speed loaders since moon clips are not allowed in BUG division.

While the 230 gr LRN would drop into the cylinder easier, I find I have 500 hardcast H&G 68's that are going unused. Somewhere between 3.2 grs and 3.5 grs of Clay Dot behind that 200 gr LSWC should be a pipsqueak load that easily exceeds PF.

Am I missing anything? What say you?

Should be fun - go for it.

I shot SSP with a Beretta 92FS and am switching to REV next year with my new 66-8. I would love to find a 3" barrel K frame to be use in BUG as an option.

I haven't put an N frame in the bug box yet..does yours meet the 1 5/8" max width?

N frame cylinders are about 1.7" diameter as I recall...

My bad - I stopped searching after reading the first response to my Google query. Just rechecked and found they had mistakenly given L-frame dimensions. Next time I'll get my lazy *** out of this chair and measure it myself. They are, indeed, 1.7".

Another great plan shot to hell.

Thanks.
