There was a thread on S&W: 1980 to the present on June 13th about .32 hr magnum. Since this is Firearms...Other brands, I thought I'd try to throw in a pic or two of a couple GP100s in .327 Fed Magnum. I no longer own the blue & wood Bisley 5" as I think I did ok trading it for a 629-6.
Both 7-shots. That 6" weighs .25 oz. more than my 629-6 when they're empty, so it's a joy to shoot (when I have ammo!)

Edit: That's a Lipsey, not Bisley version. Sorry; I don't know where that came from!

Because Smith & Wesson has not made a stainless steel 327 with a four inch barrel that I really wanted, I was forced into getting a Ruger SP-101. Here it is with Thailand grips along with a Single Seven.

I very much enjoy the .32 magnum and have several revolvers

.....chambered for it. I have one snub in the 327 magnum, I don't shoot 327 mags in it. Call me a wus but to me it is just not comfortable. Kinda like those folks that buy light weight Js in .357 magnum and have maybe shot 5 rounds of Magnum through it.

There has to be the perfect platform for the .327 , just have not found it yet. It might even be an L or N frame.

Would like to try a few rounds in Ruger/ Lipsey 3 inch half lug SP101 in .327 if do make one in the future.
 
I have a sp101 in 327. Federal makes a 100 grain listed @ 1500fps and an 85 grain @ 1400fps. My daughter won't shoot either one and sticks to 32 HR mag and 32 long. Really wish they'd make a 100 grain @1000-1200fps that would be a lot more pleasant to shoot.

...and don't tell me to reload, I don't want to.
 
I’ve had 327s at 2 different times, both SP101s and I traded both off for something I can’t remember. I still have tons of brass and loaded ammo so I feel a 327 is in my future when the right one comes around. I know where there’s a GP100 5” blue but the price is steep.

Have had about a dozen but am down to two in the hand and one in route tomorrow...

Besides a JRH Custom Model 53 that is now a .327, I have a 6.5" Freedom Arms 97...tomorrow another 97 that I have been looking at for close to two years gets shipped to my dealer...

The new one has a 4.25" barrel, fluted cylinder, round butt with black Micarta grips, 3# action job with trigger OT crew.

Great cartridge...S&W should wake up...Ruger is making LOTS of money on the LCRs...

The new gun will look just like the one in pic #2 but has a fluted cylinder...

I traded off my 5" blue/wood, as I said earlier down at that Bethel Park store. You know the one; great place, good guys. I knew I would regret it because I had a hard time finding it and it was really a nice gun, but I went away happy and I do believe J was real happy! Truthfully, the 6" GP stainless is a better shooter than the 5" was. Also the Lipsey went back to Ruger twice, and I still had minor problems with it that didn't affect the operation. Still, it was the perfect combo w/5", blue, & wood. I was shooting .32 ACPs in it a couple weeks back just to see, and a cap gun has more kick! The magnum rounds in the GP are very manageable, like a .22 magnum in the Heritage Barkeep!
I'm impressed with the versatility.
 
pawngal, I heard S&W made the 632 for a while but I guess it wasn't profitable. I've never seen one. I don't even know what size frame it was, but, like I said, this 6" GP100 will handle every .327 cartridge with minimal kick. I do know there's a heck of a lot of PSI (45,000?) pushing that bullet down the range and I wouldn't wanna be in its path. Either 85 or 100 gr. And it IS a blast to shoot! What was the frame size on that S&W? I wish they would catch on so ammo would become available again like it was.

The S&W 632 Pro .327 was made 2009-2012, it is a small gun so suppose it is a J frame.
My Blackhawk is one of the better buys that I have made, local live auction $430, like new paperwork, case and all. I had no idea about it at the time but did a quick Google on my phone before it sold so had a little idea.

Had a 4” 16-4 reamed to .327 by Andy Horvath few years back. Have a 3” full lug K frame project that is taking 1 1/2 years to complete. It will go to Andy tomorrow morning for a bead blast and reblue. Andy did all the work so far, might as well blue it. The front sight is a Weigand interchangeable base. Says about a month to do and it will finally be finished. Building it for concealed carry to maybe replace the Kimber K6 I carry now. Larry

I've really been drawn to both of those. I am looking at one of the 4 inch SP101s right now but have been on the fence....
 
...reloading is the only way to go...

Got to shoot the 97 today...had to shoot a friends reloads because mine, although they fit in my other 97/6.5", would not fully seat in this one...leads into the throats were just a thousandths too tight...

I really liked that Freedom arms up in post #5. I just got off their website. I think this Ruger will do just fine!! But, they must be one heckova gun! SuperMan, that's a nice one too!
