All,
Just got back from the range where my main mission was to test some 148 gr DEWC loads in my 14-4 (it seemed to like 3.2 gr of Bullseye better than 2.9 or 3.5), but I threw some of the leftovers in my 340PD. After only 15 rounds I was getting occasional binding towards the end of the trigger pull, but I think only for one or two of the charge holes.
Because I was low on ammo, I failed to get great test results; I can't be sure if it was the cylinder resisting the last bit of rotation or some internal issue. In 300-500 rounds previously shot through the 340, I have not experienced this. Brass is new Winchester, I had no resistance when loading/ejectin the rounds, and I found no high primers nor anomalies in the fired brass.
Side note: POI was significantly to the right of POA.
Please advise if this should appear in Reloading or Gunsmithing.
