Local gun shop had a used 342PD for sale looks like new,and I couldn’t pass it up. Looking for information about years manufacture and any other details. Thinking of maybe getting it mag-na- ported and XS big dot front sight installed. Any recommendations on who to use?

Congrats on a great find, you’ll enjoy carrying it. I’ve had my no-lock 340PD almost 20 years, kept it bone stock too and never any problems.
