Hi guys

A friend has picked up a .356 TSW and can't find ammo for it. Now this is definitely not my area of expertise, but I offered to find out what I could for him. He's come across some 9 X 21mm and wonders if this will work in the gun?

If you have any experience of this problem I'd appreciate any insight you can offer.

Many thanks.

Many thanks Dave. Interesting info. Finding the .356 TSW cases also appears to be a challenge.

I bought 9 x 21 from Starline some time back for a 39-2 with a Barstow barrel in this chambering. (Barstow no longer offers barrels for S&W) 356TSW is 9x21.5 I imagine one might have to wait for a run. I load in regular 9mm dies on my Dillon.

The S&W .356 TSW is 9mm X 21.5mm and is tapered just like the 9mm x19.

From time to time .356TSW ammo appears on Gunbroker for sale. I don't think Starline is still manufacturing the .356TSW cases. Not sure if any other cases can be used

Contact Palmer tactical in tucker Georgia. Ask for Steve, he's got a lot of it in stock. 4042969994

I used to shoot a 356TSW back in the day when some folks shot 9x21. Their brass would sometimes get mixed up with mine and I would reload it along with the 356. Seemed to all work fine.
