357 125 Load?

What powder and charge is best to drive 125XTP to 1350 fps in 357 magnum? I want an accurate load. I have several loads that are accurate but all are max charges of H110, 2400 etc. When I reduce velocity to 1350 or so the accuracy is not as good as the max loads.

Lee Reloading lists charges from highest to lowest.
For a 125XTP in 357mag

Accur #2 7.2gr 1370fps
v-N340 7.8gr 1352fps
These are both listed as Start loads

I can not say what barrel these are tested from and have never used either just listing what it says in the book.

I have used 10 grns of AA#5 and 12 grns of AA#7 out of my 6" 686. Both gave me in the low 1300's and good accuracy.

Is there some particular reason you want to keep the velocity in the 1350 range?If closer to max is more accurate,why back down?Every gun and component combination react differently.

What you describe is quite common.Sometimes the hotter loads are the most accurate.

1,350 fps out of what barrel length? Too fast for 2.5", little slow for a 4", and way slow for a 6" or longer.
